This is indeed a technical problem which has to be solved in the telnet session or .NET UI. Submit a call to QAD or check the Knowledge base for details.

Invalid date error when entering a date of year 2020 (or later) into .NET UI

Author: Kei Nagase Article ID: AA-58398 Views: 1125 Created: 2011-07-06 05:50 Last Updated: 2018-03-12 14:45 0 Rating/ 1 Voters

Issue:

Invalid date<yy/mm/dd> error is displayed when user entered a date of year 2020 (or later) into a date format field of QAD .NET UI.

Resolution:

Change the value of -yy parameter from -yy 1920 to -yy 1950 in connmgr, telnet, and client scripts. Restart Connection Manager after this modification.

If you change it in the startup.pf in the progress install directory, it will change it for the whole environment. This may also have to be changed in your scripts. Modify .Connection manager script, Telnet script and CHUI.

Root Cause:

What is happening is this, the user enters 2020 as the date. The rollover is 1920. Since MFG/PRO only accepts two digit years, 2020 is invalid. NETUI throw an error about the date to avoid having 1920 entered.
