QAD doesn't seem to have any whitepapers regarding 4GL coding differences for Oracle. The best bet would be to search Progress' web site (http://web.progress.com/en/index.html) as most likely they've got whitepapers on this subject. We could not find a document about the general challenges but perhaps a more specific search would yield the results you desire.
The main coding differences to be aware of are in regards to record creation, record locking and transaction scope. Basically, records get created at different times on Oracle verses Progress using the same 4GL commands and you have to pay attention to the types of locks being requested and how they correspond to Oracle database locks, so your logical transaction design has to accommodate these differences to ensure the same code has the same behavior on both Progress and Oracle.
