Can i get an assist on Browse error handling.
I'm taking data from the analysis code master (an_mstr) and address master (ad_mstr).
Looking to create a calculated field that handles null errors. Have tried various queries along the lines of:
IF AN_DESC IS NULL THEN AD_SORT ELSE AN_DESC END
I can't find a good solution anywhere on null handling on browses.
I'm using QAD Enterprise v 184.108.40.206 with .net 2.0.50727.8937
Help is greatly appreciated
Yes I have used this many times and your idea was exactly the rght approach, just a slight change to the syntax:
IF an_desc = "" THEN ad_sort ELSE an_desc
(no END needed, nor even a terminator like . becuase the browse handles all this for you)
Thanks for the response.
It must be that the value of an_desc doesn't equal blank (""); it's a real shame.
I'm afraid that one didn't work, I'm not sure if there's some other connector or something going on.
Thanks for the assist though; if anyone else has any ideas I'd love to hear them.
