Normally the GL reference includes the effective date within it.  However, there is nothing to stop you using an existing GL reference in 25.13.1 and changing the effective date on the header.

Have you tried selecting one that is not yet posted and entering some additional lines but setting the effective date to a different date on the header?  And then post it.

I am not saying you should do this but it might show you how it happened.

Have just seen this happen in an eB2 system at a customer, one line in December, rest of the journal in January. It was an RV transaction. Will investigate further next week and post my findings.

Hi Phill/Raymond:

I tried with 1 transaction which was not posted and added few more line with different effective date, all transactions (Lines) are created with effective date which  I seleceted in 2nd attempt. Which is absolutely correct.

Raymond,
Have posted above sample transaction which you have asked for.

Thank you both for the replies.
