In EB2 (our old system) we would get 820s from customers and apply them against an invoice by formatting the file and CIM loading it.
In EE 2017, CIM loading is not an option in the financial module. Is there some other way we can automate the process of loading 820s and apply them against invoices?
If anyone can point me in the right direction it would be appreciated. We relied heavily on CIM loading before and now that the option is no longer there we're looking for a solution that can replace all our old programs.
have you checked this feature "Processing Incoming Bank Files".
There are many ways to handle the EE functions in lieu of CIM methodology.
1. use QAD API's to load the financial data
2. use Qxtend
3. write programs using QAD tables and update the data - risky but can be used for medium complexity menus.
4. build interface to convert external files to excel integration format and manually load in QAD using execl integartion menus.

Our files are not from the bank. We actually receive 820s directly from customers, and the files contain details of which invoice they are paying, item quantities, price and extension.
As a developer, I need to find more resources on how we can automate the process of loading and matching these payments, including handling prepayments/deductions.
The manual process our A/R team currently uses is Customer Payment Create (220.127.116.11). There is quite a bit of matching going on, so I need to understand how we can automate this.
If someone can point me in the direction of any documents/guides/tutorials on how to automate using either the API or some other method, it would be appreciated.
