in 3.24 Inventory Control, you can set the allowed tolerances for each class of part (A,B,C or Other)  this has two settings % and $.  when you do the initial count the amount you count has to pass both tests.  If it fails one then it forces you to count again and records that you had a CYC-ERR..  The other option is to not even do the initial count and just do everything as a recount. BUT then you cannot get the system to calculate the inventory accuracy.   Inventory Accuracy in QAD is based on the number of parts you count and how many pass on the initial count.  Therefore the tighter you have these settings the lower the accuracy can become as you will probably have more recounts.  A class items should be very secure, maybe 0%, $0, but B may be a little easier, say 2%, $100.  C might be 5%, $500. but "Other" could be 10%, $1000.  also remember that the $100 on an A part might be less than a single part but for a C class it could be 1000's of parts
